Raising Racial Consciousness

WHY RRC?

At RRC, we do things differently

“The quality of light by which we scrutinize our lives has direct bearing upon the product which we live, and upon the changes which we hope to bring about through those lives”
Audre Lorde, Writer, Poet & Activist

If we are to resist racism effectively, we need to move past ‘race’ being a taboo topic.

At RRC we work with indivudals and teams that have made a conscious commitment to deepen their understanding of racial equity and inclusion.

We reject the symbolic commitments to anti-racism

We prioritise being anti-racist over understanding anti-racism

Clients can expect a reflective space in which they can THINK, UNDERSTAND & LEARN about anti-racism:

Time to think: Offering you a new way of ‘being’ in this world, the personal reflective space on the course enables you to pause, think deeply and begin to make meaning of the knowledge you have gained.

Generative Conversations: Promoting a critically reflective practice that is designed to disrupt existing patterns; group learning offers a space for sharing anxieties, inner value conflicts and moral dilemmas.

A safe space to learn: Met with radical compassion, participants are able to learn and unlearn in a non-judgemental space. This is a place where participants learn to ‘find their voice’ when discussing ‘race’.
